🚀 Getting Started

1. Installation

After downloading from Steam, the app will automatically create necessary configuration files on first launch.

2. Select a Wallpaper

  1. After opening the app, the Wallpaper Library page is displayed by default
  2. Browse through 50+ beautiful built-in wallpapers
  3. Click any wallpaper card to apply it to your desktop
  4. Press F9 to stop the wallpaper anytime

3. System Tray

After launching, the app displays an icon in the system tray. Right-click to:

Use the top search bar and category filters to quickly find your favorite wallpapers:

Wallpaper Settings

Each wallpaper has independent parameter settings:

  1. Click the Settings button in the bottom-right corner of the wallpaper card
  2. Adjust parameters in the popup settings panel
  3. Changes take effect in real-time without restarting the wallpaper
  4. Click the Save button to save current settings
💡 Tip: Different wallpapers have different adjustable parameters, such as particle count, color, speed, audio sensitivity, etc.

🧪 Playground

Use AI to create your own dynamic wallpapers - no programming experience required!

Creation Steps

  1. Click Playground in the left navigation bar
  2. Describe your creative idea in natural language in the input box
  3. Click Generate Wallpaper, AI will automatically generate the code
  4. Preview the effect, regenerate if not satisfied
  5. Click the Save button, name the wallpaper and save it
  6. Saved wallpapers will appear in the "My Creations" category in the wallpaper library

AI Prompt Optimization

Magic Wand Feature - Optimize your description with one click:

  1. Enter your simple idea in the input box
  2. Click the Magic Wand Icon ✨ on the right side of input
  3. AI will automatically expand simple description into professional-grade detail
  4. Optimized description makes it easier to generate high-quality wallpapers
💡 Example:
Input: "starry sky"
Optimized: "Create a deep starry sky particle effect, thousands of stars of varying sizes twinkling against black background, star colors transitioning from blue to purple, some stars slowly moving to simulate flowing cosmic motion."

Example Prompts

💡 Tip: The more specific your description, the better the generated effect matches expectations. You can specify details like colors, shapes, motion patterns, speed, etc.

  1. Click Achievements in the left navigation bar
  2. View your creative data statistics
  3. Browse unlocked and locked achievements
  4. Track unlock progress

  • Creative Master: Create 10 custom wallpapers

  • Explorer: Use wallpapers for over 1 hour

⚙️ Settings

Global Settings

Performance Mode

  • Power Saving: 30 FPS, suitable for low-end computers
  • Balanced: 45 FPS, balanced mode
  • High Performance: 60 FPS, recommended configuration
  • Ultra: Unlimited FPS, suitable for high-end graphics cards

Audio Source

  • System Audio: Capture system audio playback (recommended)
  • Microphone: Use microphone input
  • Off: Disable audio functionality

Display Settings

  • Primary Display: Show wallpaper only on primary display
  • All Displays: Show wallpaper on all displays
  • Custom: Select specific display

Auto Start

Check the Auto Start option, and the app will automatically run when Windows starts and apply the last used wallpaper.

⌨️ Keyboard Shortcuts

Shortcut Function
ESC Stop current wallpaper
Ctrl + F12 Capture current wallpaper preview
F9 Quick toggle wallpaper on/off
F5 Refresh window
💡 Tip: Global shortcuts work when wallpaper is running, even when focus is on other windows. ESC key only works when the wallpaper window has focus (to avoid accidental triggers).

❓ Troubleshooting

Wallpaper Won't Start

Possible causes:

  • Check if graphics driver supports OpenGL 3.3 or higher
  • Try switching to Power Saving Mode
  • Check Windows system updates
  • Update graphics driver to latest version

Audio Visualization Not Working

Solutions:

  1. Check if the Audio Source in settings is set to the correct option
  2. Ensure system has audio playing (audio functionality requires audio input)
  3. Some wallpapers don't support audio functionality, please check wallpaper description

Wallpaper Running Slowly

Optimization suggestions:

  • Lower Performance Mode (Power Saving or Balanced)
  • Close other GPU-intensive programs
  • Adjust wallpaper parameters (e.g., reduce particle count)
  • Use F9 to quickly toggle wallpaper and monitor system resource usage

Playground Generation Failed

Possible causes:

  • Check internet connection (AI functionality requires internet)
  • Prompt is too complex, try simplifying the description
  • Server is busy, try again later

Preview Image Appears Broken

This is usually due to corrupted or missing preview image files. Solutions:

  • For custom wallpapers: Use Ctrl + F12 to recapture the preview
  • For built-in wallpapers: Reinstall the application

System Tray Icon Not Showing

This may be a Windows system settings issue:

  1. Right-click on empty space in the taskbar
  2. Select Taskbar Settings
  3. Find Select which icons appear on the taskbar
  4. Make sure Dream Pixels toggle is turned on
